The purpose of this educational activity is to enable the learner to identify and describe peristomal skin management for both healthy and compromised skin.

Following this presentation, the participant will be able to:
Describe a peristomal skin assessment.
Differentiate peristomal skin management for healthy skin and compromised skin.
Identify a follow-up schedule with an ostomy expert for patients with healthy or compromised peristomal skin.

This content is delivered as an enduring material activity which is provider-directed, learner-paced and consists of handouts and test questions. To receive contact hours, the participant must complete all learning activities including the entire online program, an assessment quiz with a passing score of 80% and the course evaluation. Following completion of these materials, the participant is able to print the certificate of completion.
