Foot and Nail Care: Neuropathic Foot Ulcers

The purpose of this activity is to enable the learner to identify and describe nursing care issues related to Lower-Extremity Neuropathic Disease (LEND).

Following this presentation, the participant will be able to:
Discuss three causes of neuropathy.
Identify three typical characteristics of foot and toe changes when neuropathy is present.
Describe methods of prevention and management for neuropathic foot ulcers.

This content is delivered in an enduring presentation and consists of handouts and test questions. The participant must complete all learning activities including an assessment quiz with a passing score of 80% and the course evaluation. Following completion of these materials, the participant is able to print the certificate of completion.
